Genre: Adult/Humor

Page Numbers: 384 pages

Dates Read: 12/30/13

Plot in three lines or lessIt’s kind of hard to give this one an accurate description. It showcases the artwork and stories of Allie Brosh, over at her hilarious blog Hyperbole and a Half. If you haven’t heard of her or read any of her stories, I would highly recommend you do so now. Like seriously, go over there now. NOW, I tell you!

Have you gone over to her blog yet?

New read or re-read? This was my first new read of 2014!

Would you read it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I would read it again, and I would definitely recommend it to others. In fact, I’ve already recommended it off my shelf and into the hands of my best friend, who was actually the one to get me hooked on her blog, thanks to the ever-hilarious “Clean All The Things!” post.

Why did I pick it up? I have been following Allie’s blog for some time now, and I knew she was going through a rough patch at one point (she had to have been, since you dropped of the blogging-face of the earth for a long time). And it turned out I was right in that presumption. Facing depression head on has to be a very scary thing, and when I heard she had written a book (and included some NEW stories and artwork in it), I knew I had to get the book for myself, as my own personal way of showing my support for her. I doubt I will ever get to meet her, but I wanted to do something. So I got it for myself as an early Christmas present, and I’m glad I did.

Rating: 4.5/5, but only because there is some language, so you can’t say I didn’t warn you.
